"- I'm sorry are you mad at me ?
- Oh Constance I'm never mad at you.
- Aw !
- Just severly disappointed"
When the St. Cassian High School choir went on a trip to a carnival to celebrate a victory, they expect fun rides and cool activities but turns out all they find is..death. After a catastrophic roller-coaster malfunction, they end out into the afterlife. The six teens find themselves in a weird talent show hosted by Karnak, a mechanical fortune-teller who’s seen better days then to judge teens strange and egocentric performances because well what the world needs is people like them. Each teen gets one shot to perform the story of their life and convince Karnak they deserve a second chance at living .In the end, only one can return to the world of the breathing… and the decision is as messy, chaotic, and strangely touching as all the choir kids themselves.
Between heartfelt confessions, bizarre musical numbers, and emotional confessions, the group learns what mattered most to them. A strange and funny introspection showing the point of vu of very different teen's archetype. This musical feature the nightmare of every performers, one of the hardest musical number of all musical theatre "The ballad of Jane Doe" which flirts with opera tonalities.
